Surakarta, (18/7/2024) – The Mug Ecoprint creations by the Women Farmers Group (KWT) Srikandi of Karangturi Village, Gondangrejo, Karanganyar, will be featured at the Jateng Agroinnovation Expo 2024, organized by Balai Pelatihan Pertanian Central Java. This innovative project, which began with initial training provided by the Student Community Organization Program (PPK Ormawa) of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UNS in 2023 through the Sekolah Perempuan Karangturi, has been further supported by UNS KKN (Community Service Program) students in Karangturi.
In 2024, this initiative will continue with research and development efforts by the Rural Sociology Research Group of the Agricultural Extension and Communication Program at UNS. The project exemplifies the integration of local craftsmanship with sustainable practices and showcases the creative talents of the Karangturi Women Farmers Group. The Mug Ecoprint creations will be prominently displayed at the Jateng Agroinnovation Expo 2024, highlighting the innovation and sustainability efforts of the local community. This event is part of the broader initiative to advance Karangturi’s goal of becoming a Climate Village by 2025, demonstrating the village’s commitment to environmental sustainability and local development.
