Edi Purwanto finished his doctoral studies at UP Los Banos Philippines in 1994. He currently serves as Head of Fisio and Biotek Labpratory (2015-2023) and Head of the Doctoral study program of Agricultural Science (2019-2023). His latest research is Kajian pertumbuhan dan hasil mutan padi hitam hasil iradiasi dengan kandungan prolin tinggi untuk pengembangan ketahanan kekeringan (lanjutan) (2021). In the last 5 years has 1 patent and proprietary rights and 17 publications. Currently active as a member in 3 specialist bodies.
