Surakarta (27/04/2024)- The Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Programme successfully followed a series of international accreditation assessments from ASIIN together with Food Science and Technology study programme; both of these study program are offered under the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of March Eleven. ASIIN is an international accreditation agency originating from Germany for the disciplines of engineering, mathematics and science, agriculture, and biology. Through international accreditation, it is hoped that the Agriculture Communication Studies Program will become a study program capable of competing not only at the national level but also at the international level. The field assessment was conducted by four assessors consisting of Prof. Markus Frank, Prof. Gerhard Schleining, Dr. Daniel Seegers, Dr. Arum Tiyas, and Fitria Yasmin Mazaya. The assessment is carried out by conducting a number of interviews with university leaders, faculty, curriculum, lecturers, students, alumni, industry partners, and graduate users. In addition to conducting interviews, the assessment also conducted a direct visit to the study program to see directly the facilities available in the study program, including the including the facilities in each micro-teaching laboratory, multimedia, Podcast studio, as well as several other rooms such as the student assembly secretariat room (HM Pelita), student workspace, and AGRITEXTS journal room. During this visit, the assessor can see in person the existing activity. Through this ASIIN accreditation, the Agricultural Extension and Communication study program hopes to produce graduates who are able to compete in the global arena in accordance with the advances of science and technology and support the UNS as a world-class Class University.(Ew)
