Surakarta (June 18, 2024) – The Agricultural Extension and Communication Program at UNS conducted a practicum for the mass communication course at TVRI Yogyakarta on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. This practicum was attended by students from the 2022 cohort of the Agricultural Extension and Communication Program, accompanied by the Communication Lab faculty members: Dr. Dwiningtyas Padmaningrum, S.P., M.Si., Dr. Bekti Wahyu Utami, S.P., M.Si., Dr. Ir. Emi Widiyanti, S.P., M.Si., Dr. Hanifah Ihsaniyati, S.P., M.Si., Prof. Dr. Suminah, M.Si, and the Co-Ass Practicum for Mass Communication.
The aim of this practicum is to enable students to master and acquire skills in the production process of broadcasting on mass media, understand journalism related to both the theory and practice of news broadcasting (news presenting), master and acquire skills in news scriptwriting, and gain experience in the television broadcasting production process. TVRI Yogyakarta was chosen as the practicum location because it allows students to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of broadcasting and media production, equipped with modern broadcasting equipment, and provides the opportunity to work with industry-standard broadcasting devices. The hope is that this practicum at TVRI Yogyakarta will enable students in agricultural extension and communication to build networks with media professionals, which could open career opportunities in the media industry in the future.
